About Kathy Taylor
Kathy Taylor is a retired women’s lacrosse coach with more than three decades of experience coaching at the high school and collegiate levels. Over the course of her career, she built competitive programs, coached All-Americans, and led teams to conference titles and national championships.
Taylor coached at multiple levels of collegiate athletics, including head coaching roles at SUNY Cortland, Le Moyne College, and Colgate University. She is widely known for her work developing student-athletes and elevating programs through clear standards, preparation, and accountability.
Among her career highlights, Taylor led Le Moyne College to the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship and was named IWLCA National Coach of the Year the same season. She compiled a 97–12 record at Le Moyne, guided her teams to four consecutive NCAA Final Four appearances, and coached 16 Division II All-Americans. Earlier in her career, she served as head coach at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, where she led the program to two New York State Championships.
Beyond wins and losses, Taylor played an active leadership role in the sport. She served as President of the International Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and as a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team Selection Committee.
