Replit combines a cloud coding environment with an AI agent, currently in its fourth generation and marketed as Agent 4, that takes a prompt like build a B2B project management app and produces a working, deployable application. The agent can build websites, mobile apps, landing pages, slide decks, data visualizations, and even simple games from the same interface, and it runs multiple sub-agents in parallel on different parts of a build to move faster on larger projects.

Because everything runs in Replit's own cloud, there's no local setup: authentication, a database, hosting, and monitoring are built into every project by default, and Replit's Publish feature lets you push a finished app live with a URL rather than configuring your own server.
