Jon Venverloh is the Founder and Principal of Venus Development Group, where he leverages decades of leadership experience in technology and business development. His career includes an impressive 18-year tenure at Google, where he joined during the company’s early days and played a pivotal role in its growth and innovation.
During his time at Google, Jon contributed to the launch and expansion of several key products, including Google Chrome, early Enterprise solutions, and Google Shopping. One of his standout achievements was overseeing Google Shopping’s largest acquisition, integrating a team of over 100 employees and driving the service’s expansion from the U.S. to European markets.
In 2014, Jon transitioned to the role of Director of Program Management, first at Google’s U.S. headquarters and later at its European engineering hub in Switzerland. In this capacity, he led aspects of Google Shopping’s product development and operations, implementing strategies that improved merchant engagement and user experience. While in Zurich, Jon also spearheaded a diversity and inclusion initiative aimed at increasing the recruitment of female engineers, positively impacting the organization’s 3,000+ local employees.
Throughout his Google career, Jon held several other leadership roles, including Director of Global Sales and Global Head of Sales & Business Development. Before joining Google, he refined his expertise in business strategy and advertising at organizations like The Weather Channel, Saatchi & Saatchi, and DDB Needham.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jon is dedicated to philanthropy through the Venverloh Family Foundation, which supports a variety of initiatives to create meaningful societal impact and assist those in need.
Jon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Science in Management from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
