Worthington Cox’s professional journey commenced with her participation in the chorus of a Bill Kenwright production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Liverpool Empire. Her breakthrough arrived in 2011 when, at just ten years old, she was cast as Matilda Wormwood in the original production of “Matilda the Musical” at the Cambridge Theatre. Sharing the role with three other young actresses, her portrayal earned critical acclaim, culminating in a 2012 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.
